主唱史帝芬泰勒 (Steven Tyler)最明顯的，是他沙啞又激昂洪亮，充滿著搖滾風味的厚實嗓音 (外加那道血盆大口)。雖然外表還頗像原始人的，但她女兒可是那位在《世界末日》中飾演老布女兒的麗芙泰勒 (Lif Tyler)，可真的是令人體會到造物主的偉大。
雖然團員們的生活總是充滿著酗酒嗑藥、跟女歌迷亂搞、幹架、鬧警局或法院等負面話題，團員也歷經正紅的時候分道揚鑣的過程，但最後仍然在再次回歸之後，讓再次出發的專輯成功拿下許多音樂獎項。而他們所營造出來的搖滾風潮也跟隨著時代脈動而改變，卻仍然保有七十年代的風格，使得越嗆越辣的曲風替這個老伯伯樂團又成功地幹掉不少樂壇年輕小夥子。
